Jon Jones v Stipe Miocic
Why the hell are we doing this? The worst kept secret in the UFC has finally arrived as Dana White's favourite and number 1 pound for pound fighter takes on an old retired fire-fighter. Okay, Stipe is the most successful heavyweight the UFC has ever had with 3 title defences, but he is also 42 years old and hasn't fought in 43 months (that's over 3 years!) And hasn't won in more than 4 years and the last time he was seen at a UFC event was 295 and he looked like he was in need of a walking stick and a hip replacement. Jon Jones is quite obviously past his prime and on his vanity tour but the outcome of this fight barring a minor miracle seems set in stone.
Bet: Same game Multi. Jon Jones by TKO/Sub - Round 4 not to start - $1.72
Charles Olivera v Michael Chandler
Now I was sure this fight would never happen again. Not necessarily this fight specifically but any fight involving Michael Chandler. He hitched himself to the train wreck that is Conor McGregor for what seemed like an eternity. Finally he freed himself and I cannot be more excited. The first fight between these two men was incredible. Chandler spent the majority of round 1 in their 2021 fight beating 50 shades of shit out of Olivera, coming within a breath of having the fight finished. That is before round 2 started and Charles landed a counter left hook that set in motion a chaotic sequence that lead to the finish. These two men are exciting proponents of chaos and the 5 rounds they have been allotted will almost definitely not be needed. Ordinarily in cases like this I would default to the question "who has more ways to win?" But in this case, after much needed time off and the prospect of one last chance to claim his dream of UFC Lightweight gold, Chandler is worth a long shot on at his price
Bet: Michael Chandler head to head $3.05
Bo Nickal v Paul Craig
Speaking of chaos merchants - I bring you Paul Craig. This man defines insanity in the Octagon. He has losses to Volkan Oezdemir and Brendan Allen in recent years but on the other hand has submitted arguably the best light heavyweight in the world in Magomed Ankalaev and knocked out Jamahal Hill. His striking is questionable at best and deplorable at worst, his fight IQ often raises many questions but his ju-jitsu is of the highest level and is maybe the most opportunistic fighter that we have ever seen. Then we have Bo Nickal. This man epitomises professionalism. He lives and breathes to be the best in the world. He is one of the most accomplished college wrestlers the UFC has seen and brings with him the 2019 Hodge Trophy. Add to this, his striking is improving day by day. Look for Craig to try and and take it to the ground and that ultimately be his downfall.
Bet - Bo Nickal by submission $3.10
Viviane Araujo v Karine Silva
This serves to be an interesting test for Silva. Undefeated through 4 UFC fights, the Brazilian looks the goods so far finishing all but 1 of her 18 career wins. Vivi proves to be her toughest opponent so far though, having only lost to the top of the division (plus Andrea Lee). If Silva can get through Araujo she will cement herself firmly within the top 10 and be one step closer to a title fight
Bet: Karine Silva head to head $1.32
Maurico Ruffy v James Llontop
The Fighting Nerds have been making waves over the last 18 months with fighters like Caio Borralho and Jean Silva destroying everyone they put in front of them. This fight does not need too much of analysis, Llontop is 0-2 in the UFC whereas the Ruffy has knocked out 10 of his 11 rivals with 7 of those not seeing a second round. Look for Ruffy to add another victim to his list early.
Bet: Ruffy by KO $1.76
